Our Mission Statement

"TO COME, SERVE and WORSHIP OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST"

The dream of a United Church presence in Wasaga Beach began in October 1997 at Wasaga Stars Arena.  In the fall of 1998, the Toronto United Church Council purchased the Silvercrest Christian School property.  Portable #1 was chosen to be used for services which lasted until the renovations could be made to move into the old school.  After long and arduous work by many of our devoted congregation members, we had the dedication of our new Church on May 6, 2001 with Rev. Vince Alfano from Toronto United Church Council  as our Guest Speaker.  Our congregation is growing very quickly, and Penny Robertson, our Organist & Merle Stetler, our Choir Director have given us many dedicated years, along with a very inspiring choir.   We're extremely happy to be in our 10th year in the Beach, and would feel very blessed to see you at our Sunday services at 9:30 a.m.!

Please have a look around our new web site which is still under construction

and we welcome any suggestions you have as this is a very new endeavour for us.

God is with you!

The Vision of Wasaga Beach United Church is:

  • to create a warm, welcoming place of worship and a community of faith, and to work toward providing the facilities that will meet the growing needs of God’s community in Wasaga Beach.

In order to meet these goals, and depending on God’s leading, we shall continue to work together to increase the members and adherents, enjoy Christian fellowship and worship regularly with dynamic services that include all ages.  God’s love will be shared through members and adherents participating in groups in an up-to-date organization, and by reaching out and responding to the needs of men, women, and children in Wasaga Beach and beyond.

Stated in our Plan of Organization, formerly known as our Constitution, dated May 13, 2002.
